She carries the mana of both sides of her lineage and she uses the commercially successful skills of her father, a professional musician, alongside the sacred chants of her mother’s native mountain home high in the Kabayan, Benguet Philippines to create a channeling style that is just beginning to build momentum. Finding her voice has been an important growth for her, all her life, but especially so lately as she journeys into social action. Soul Stage Debut... NOT TO BE MISSED !

Joel Bennett

He is 17 and has been playing piano and writing songs for over 5 years. Music is total soul food for Joel and not many days go by without him tinkering on the family piano playing favorites and experimenting with new material and inspiration. Songs come to him in fits and starts, sometimes totally unexpected and other times a form of musical therapy. He spent the year in 2020 creating 5 original songs for his first ep for a year long school project. Joel dabbles in a few different genres with the core of his writing being heartfelt ballad style.

A talented young songwriter with a gentle voice and soaring vocals, writing songs of love, loss, longing and belonging with an insight and awareness that belies her years. The sparsity of the guitar creates a space to be filled by harmonies that quietly carry you away. She has played at the Bunker Hill Folk Club , Devonstock, live on TV2’s ‘What Now’ and sung with the Free Wind, Brendon Thomas and Mema Wilde. In the last two years, freya has performed to acclaim on the Auckland festival circuit and has played at AUM Festival, NYE Resolution, Voices of Scared Earth, Okura Forest Festival, Takachella and NZ Spirit Festival. Sit still and listen quietly and you will be moved....
