Why do we have Rituals & Remedies?

We love to gather knowledge & insight through nature & universal wisdom to evolve, create & pass on unique versions of ancient ritual & remedies that treat relevant conditions, that will realistically flow with your modern-day life.

It’s easy to do something one day and forget about it the next.

The issue is we won’t reap positive benefits of a healthy practice if it isn’t in our routine or better still a daily nourishing ritual.

We actually already have more daily rituals then we may think.

Rituals create stability in life, which our minds, bodies and souls thrive off.

“Evolutionary, humans survived by creating order in chaos”

Everyday we have new challenges, & history shows that humans have survived by creating routines, rituals & remedies, even in the most challenging of times.

The reason religion became so important was because it gave people a sense of ritual.

Prayer & congregation helped us confused humans make sense or meaning to this weird & wonderful earth our souls have found this body apart of.

These days, we really don’t need organized religion to practice rituals.

We have the freedom to choose & create the systems that serve us best, which may not be the same as our parents or even in our national heritage.

Ayurveda - meaning life knowledge, has many rituals & remedies that have stood the test of time; as it's the oldest health system on earth!

These are 5 of our Ayurvedic favorites.

They are all simple, affordable & beneficial daily rituals that take as little time as you choose.

Oil-pulling

Tongue scraping

Oil massage - Abhyanga

Herbal spiced tea - masala chai

Dry brushing – lymphatic skin exfoliation

We created the Dosha Collection of remedies to support you with these easy daily self-care rituals.

Wait... What's a Dosha ?

Dosha is yet another word for energy.

Doshas are made up of the 5 elements around us:

Space . Air . Fire . Water . Earth

According to Ayurveda, every being, person, food or object is made up of the 5 elements:

Just like we each have a unique fingerprint, each person was born with a specific constitution, comprised of these 5 elements, that make 3 Doshas.

What Dosha characteristics currently describe you the most?

- Vata -

Space + Air, also referred to as Wind.

You will be considered Vata if you have wind-like characteristics such as:

Cold, light, bloated, gassy, constipated, naturally thin, dry, rough skin, creative mind, adaptable, changeable thoughts, easily distracted.

When feel overwhelmed or stressed, a Vata response is, “What did I do wrong?”

- Pitta -

Fire + Water, also referred to as just Fire.

You'll be higher in Pitta if you have fire -like characteristics such as:

Hot, heartburn, ravenous appetite, hyperactive digestive systems, medium build, oily skin,

tendency towards acidity, over-perspiration, a disciplined, powerful intellect with strong ability to concentrate.

When Pittas are over-stressed, the typical response is “What did you do wrong?”

- Kapha -

Earth + Water, also referred to as just Earth.

If you're a grounded Kapha type you'll have earth-like characteristics such as:

Patient, grounded, caring, stable and supportive of family and loved ones, calm dispositions.

Body is cold, moist, heavy, dull, static, smooth, dense, gains weight easily, emotionally eats, bigger built, moist skin, slow digestive systems.

In the face of stress, the Kapha response is “I don’t want to deal with it.”

If you identify with an equal balance of all 3, then it's likely you're TriDoshic
